Chapter 8 - Two Weeks Later
Sabrina & Raven
_ Sabrina put the last few items in her box and looked around
her empty office. She couldn’t believe this was her last day. She took a deep
breath feeling somber.
The next instant, her best friend Raven appeared at her office door with her hands folded. “I can’t believe this is it.” Raven said shaking her head in disbelief. Sabrina gave her a faint smile. “Yep. Crazy, huh?”
Raven nodded her head yes looking as if she were going to cry.
Sabrina saw Raven’s eyes begin to well up with tears. “Oh my God, don’t start crying again.” Sabrina said as she rushed up to Raven and hugged her.
“Im going to miss you girl.” Raven said as she hugged her tightly.
Raven slowly pulled away from her and wiped her eye dry, as she tried to avoid messing up her eye makeup. “I still can’t believe all of this. And Im still mad that you eloped and didn’t even tell me.”
Sabrina giggled as she wiped her tears away. “That’s the whole purpose of eloping, right?” “Hmmph…whatever.” Raven lightly laughed. “Are you going to have a real wedding ceremony? Because I’ll be damned if you don’t tell me about that!”
Sabrina laughed. “Trust me, you will know, because you will be in it.”
“I better, damn it.”
The friends both laughed.

Sean Connery
_
At that moment, Sabrina’s boss Mr. Sean Connery stepped up
to her office door and looked around her empty office. He cleared his throat
making his presence known.
“Hi, Mr. Connery.” Sabrina and Raven said in unison.
“I do apologize for missing the luncheon they had for you today, Sabrina. Duty calls.”
“I totally understand.” Sabrina smiled.
“Truth be told, I should be angry that you are going to work for our competitors…but to me..that just means I taught you too well. I’ll take that as a compliment.” The poised older man said with a grin.
Sabrina blushed from his kind words. “Yes…you taught me very well, sir. I thank you.”
“It was a pleasure having you as an employee. I wish you the best.” He said and gave her a hug.
Sabrina was slightly stunned by his nice gesture. He was always about business, but kind at the same time. However, this was the first time he showed this amount of kind gesture. It was a nice feeling.
“Thank you so much.” Sabrina responded.
“Now, don’t go over there and try to put us out of business.” He joked as they all laughed. He then cleared his throat and spoke seriously. “But really…just know that you are always welcome to come back if things don’t turn out how you wanted. This is your home.” Mr. Connery patted her arm and winked at Raven as he walked out of her office.
“Damn…why my boss can’t be that fine and nice.” Raven giggled.
Sabrina playfully hit her arm as she laughed.
Raven began to escort her out of the work place carrying the farewell cake everyone at the company had given her, when they saw Lilly and Gary standing near the elevator.
“We are here guarding the elevator to make sure you don’t leave.” Lilly informed Sabrina with a smirk.
“Well you know I could always go down the stairs.” Sabrina teased them.
“See, Miss Thang, I thought about that…I told Lilly I wasn’t about to run down all those flights of stairs. I love you, but not that much!” Gary joked with Sabrina.
They all laughed.
“But seriously,” Gary said as he flexed his wrists flamboyantly, “Lilly and I wanted to give you something special from just the two of us.” He held up a small wrapped gift box in the air. “I see your hands are full, so Im just going to put it in your cardboard box here, and you can open it whenever you get ready.”
“Aww…thanks you guys. You guys are the best!” Sabrina broadly smiled.
Lilly and Gary smiled and gave her a hug.
“Whew, chile’ this is just too much for me. I need to go back to work before Mr. Connery gets pissed off.” Gary said as he rubbed Raven’s shoulder walking away.
“Yeah…I should go too. I know I have been saying this like everyday over these last two weeks, but we really are going to miss you, Sabrina.” Lilly said on the verge of tears.
“Aww thank you Lilly.” Sabrina said with gratitude.
Lilly cleared her throat, “Do you think you can keep an eye out for me to see if they might be hiring for a position for me too?” Lilly joked with a smile.
Sabrina and Raven laughed.
“I’ll make sure to keep my eyes open.” Sabrina smiled.
Raven walked Sabrina out to her car helping her to put her belongings into her car.
“I wish I can see you and Cody off today, but I have to work late today. They got a sister working like a slave, I tell ya.” Raven teased.
Sabrina giggled. “It’s okay. You’ve done so much for me over the last few weeks, I can’t thank you enough. I am soooo going to miss you.”
“Girl, you know I will be down there for vacation! I’ll give you guys a few weeks before I come bombarding into yall’s business!”
The friends both laughed and hugged.
“I can’t wait for you to come visit.” Sabrina added as she kept her arms wrapped tightly around Raven.
After a long hug, Raven slightly pushed Sabrina away trying to hold in her tears. “Alright, okay, enough. Go before I have a nervous breakdown.”
Sabrina laughed and opened her car door.
“Tell Nick, I will kick his ass later for taking my best friend away.” Raven joked.
Sabrina laughed.

Nick & Sabrina's New Home
_ Nick thanked his buddies, Brandon and Dollar, as he walked
with them outside of his new home.
“Hey man, can I get a check for the hard work I have put into fixing this joint up?” Brandon asked with a smile.
“I got you, B. Thanks my dude.” Nick said giving Brandon a dap and a shoulder to shoulder hug.
“Hold up….if he getting paid, I know im getting my dibs…right?” Dollar asked joking.
“No doubt.” Nick laughed.
“Man, c’mon, you know I was just playing! Im not getting paid. Damn, Dollar…you always trying to make a damn dollar!” Brandon laughed as he joked.
The guys all laughed.
“Daddy! I can’t open my toy chest!” Josslyn yelled from the front door.
Nick turned around to look her way saying, “Okay baby, I’ll be right there.” Nick then turned his attention back to his buddies. “Alright fellas. Thanks again! Don’t worry, I’ll pay my dues.”
Brandon and Dollar said their goodbyes and left.
Nick walked into Josslyn’s new bedroom and helped her with her toy chest. Her room was already decorated to her liking just as her room was in Nick’s old apartment. However, now her room was even bigger. “Do you like your new room?” Nick asked her.
“Yes. I love it daddy.” Josslyn said speaking proper.
Nick chuckled at his daughter’s cuteness.
“Will mommy get to see my new room?”
“No, sweetie. Remember, we can’t tell mommy where we stay. Deal?” Nick said holding up his pinky finger wanting her to link her pinky finger with his.
“Deal.” Josslyn said as she furrowed her brows looking serious and linking her pinky finger with his.
Nick grabbed her with his arms and started kissing her all over making her laugh.
Within the next minute, Nick heard the doorbell ring. Nick rushed downstairs and saw his mother standing on the other side of the door with grocery in her hands. Nick started to grab them to help her out but instead she made her way inside saying, “There’s more in the car.”
Nick simply walked out to her car and got the rest of the groceries.
Nick joined her in the kitchen placing the groceries down on the counter. He saw her looking around with a smug expression.
“What?” Nick asked waiting for her to say something negative.
“Nothing.” She simply stated and began unpacking the groceries.
Nick helped her saying, “Thanks for the groceries.” Nick stared at his mother waiting for her to reply.
“You’re welcome.” She simply stated without giving him eye contact.
It was apparent to Nick that she was still upset for moving on in his life with Sabrina and not Joanna. She vowed to Nick that she would not tell Joanna where he moved to after Nick begged and pleaded with her.
“Im going to cook dinner a little later, when Sabrina and Cody get here. Would you like to come back for dinner to meet her son?”
Sandra gave Nick a blank stare. She then cocked her head to the side.
“You? Inviting me for dinner?”
“You can’t say I never invited you.” Nick responded.
Before Sandra had a chance to respond, Josslyn ran into the kitchen excited to see her grandmother.
“There’s my grandbaby!” Sandra said picking Josslyn up into her arms.
“Grandmommy, come see my room! Its prettttyyyyy.”
“Oh my goodness! I can’t wait!! Yes, you must show me!” Sandra said expressing her excitement for Josslyn. Sandra walked out of the kitchen and up the stairs toward Josslyn’s new bedroom.
Nick sighed and shook his head as he continued to put away the groceries.

Kelly's Condo
_ Kelly gave Cody the biggest and longest embrace before he
left with Sabrina to get on the road.
“You be a good boy, okay? Take care of your mom for me too, okay?” “Yes ma’am.” Cody said slightly sad as he looked at Kelly.
Kelly gave him a kiss on both sides of his cheeks and ruffled her hands thru his short buzzed haircut. “I love you Code-meister.”
“Love you too, aunt Kelly.” Cody replied.
Kelly stood up straight and looked at Sabrina. She reached out to her and embraced her. “Have a safe trip. Call me when you get there.”
Sabrina welcomed the embrace from her aunt. “I will.”
Kelly pulled away and looked at her niece. “Are you sure about this?”
Sabrina slightly rolled her eyes. “It’s a little too late to be changing my mind, don’t you think aunt Kelly?”
Kelly gave her a faint smile. “I suppose. I just want you to be happy, Brin.” Kelly then looked down at Sabrina’s belly. “Take care of that baby.”
“I will.”
“I’ll make sure my brother or sister will be okay, aunt Kelly.” Cody mentioned noticing the concerned expression on Kelly’s face.
Kelly smiled. “I know you will Cody. I trust you.”
Kelly looked back at Sabrina. “Don’t let your….in-laws…get to you…especially Sandra.”
“Don’t worry, I wont. You're coming to visit us soon, though right?”
“Yeah, of course. Derek said he was sorry he couldn’t see you off, but he told me to tell you to be safe and all that good stuff.”
Sabrina smiled. “Okay.”
Silence fell between the two. Kelly felt like she didn’t want to let Sabrina go. She would hate herself if anything were to happen to her niece. She felt like it was nothing she could really do about it when Sabrina was an adult and could do anything she wanted to do. She just wanted the best for her considering the troubled past Sabrina had been thru.
Kelly walked Sabrina and Cody out to Sabrina’s car.
“Bye aunt Kelly!” Cody said waving bye to her.
“Bye sweetie. I love you guys.”
“We love you too!” Cody responded.
Sabrina smiled at her aunt. “I’ll call you.”
“You better.” Kelly said giving her a faint smile.

_ Sandra walked into the kitchen with Josslyn in her arms
where Nick was getting ready to prepare for dinner. He knew Sabrina and Cody
would be there shortly.
“Mom, you know Joss has two legs, right?” Nick said referring to her always carrying Josslyn everywhere she went.
“This is my grandbaby, I can carry her whenever I want to. Right, Jossy?”
“Mmm-hmm.” Josslyn said with a small smile.
Sandra sat Josslyn down on the island counter in the kitchen. “Im going to leave in a few minutes anyway.”
“I thought you were going to stay until Sabrina got here?” Nick asked surprised.
“No.” Sandra simply stated.
“What’s for dinner, daddy?”
“Chicken parmesan and spaghetti.” Nick answered with a grin.
“With your special sauce?” Josslyn excitedly asked.
“Yes ma’am.”
Josslyn clapped and smiled immensely. “Yayyy!”
Sandra couldn’t help but smile at her granddaughter’s cuteness. Sandra began running her fingers thru Josslyn’s long locks. “Nick, have you spoken to your father lately?”
“Yeah, I talked to him today.”
“What does he think of….all of this.”
Nick looked at his mother. “You already know he doesn’t like the fact that I got married. Other than that…he’s okay with everything.”
Sandra scoffed. “Of course he wouldn’t want you to get married. Look at what happened to our marriage.”
Nick remained silent not wanting to start any kind of argument with his mother.
“When is he coming down?” Sandra asked.
“Why? Are you looking forward to seeing him?” Nick teased her knowing she could no longer stand his father.
“Riiight. I want to make sure im not around when he is.”
Nick sighed. “I don’t know mom. He just said soon.”
Sandra turned her attention to Josslyn. She kissed her and put her down on the floor. “Go see if your favorite cartoon is on tv while grandmommy talks to your father.”
“Okay!” Josslyn responded sweetly.
As soon as Josslyn left, Sandra walked up to Nick and spoke in a low tone.
“Are you sure Sabrina is pregnant with your child?”
“You’re kidding me right?” Nick stared at her.
“What makes her so different from Joanna?”
Nick looked down at the chicken he was preparing and closed his eyes trying to remain calm. He then looked at his mother.
“I think its best you left.”
Sandra shook her head in disbelief at her son.
“You don’t even know this girl, Nicholas. And you just up and marry her because you think she’s pregnant with your child...? I thought I raised you better than this, Nicholas. I swear you are just like your father. Both of you can’t keep your little penises in your pants. All you two want to do is just stick it in any pretty little girl you see.”
“Mom! Seriously?” Nick said to his mother slightly stunned in what she was saying to him.
“I am serious, Nicholas! It’s like I don’t know my own son anymore. Do you have any other women out there pregnant with your child?”
Nick clenched his jaw muscles as he stared at his mother.
Sandra raised her hand up in Nick’s face. “Don’t answer that. I don’t even want to know.” Sandra walked away from Nick and grabbed for her purse. “And of all things... you go and elope.” Sandra mumbled to herself slightly upset.
“Why can’t you just be happy for me, mom?” Nick asked his mother in frustration.
“Why can’t you just be the son I once knew who you were? Are you still taking those pain pills? You know you’ve changed ever since that dumb fight you were in for that... girl. And now you married her....?” Sandra walked away from Nick and into the living room where Josslyn was looking at the television. “Bye pumpkin eater!” Sandra said happily as she kissed and hugged her granddaughter.
“Bye!” Josslyn said sweetly.
Sandra walked out of the house toward her car.
Nick started to rush after her. Before leaving out the door, Nick told Josslyn, “Stay right there. Don’t move.”
Josslyn nodded her head as she looked at her father.
Nick walked out to the car after his mother. “Mom! Im not a kid anymore, alright? Just because im your son doesn’t mean that you can say what you want to me and disrespect the decision I made for my life! I love Sabrina…you will treat her with respect.” Nick said with a frown as his mother got into her car.
Sandra turned her car engine on and put the car into reverse. She stared at Nick as if he had lost his mind. She then stated, “Like I said…you have changed. You have never spoken to me like that. Don’t you dare… start now. I’ll leave you alone until you calm down.”
She then pulled out of Nick’s driveway and pulled off.
“Mom, you know Joss has two legs, right?” Nick said referring to her always carrying Josslyn everywhere she went.

Part 2
_ Sabrina pulled into the driveway of her new home in
Gainesville, Florida.
“This is where we are staying?” Cody asked in shock.
“Yep. What do you think?” Sabrina smiled as she put the car in park.
“It’s big.” Cody responded looking out his window at the house.
“Wait ‘til you check out the pool in the back.”
Cody didn’t respond, he simply opened the door and got out of the car.
Nick walk out of the front door with Josslyn in his arms. He walked down the little pathway toward Sabrina’s car. He smiled when he saw Cody and Sabrina getting out. Sabrina looked beautiful as always, he thought. The wind blew her long dark hair into her face as she stepped out of the car. The white top that she wore fit loosely around her. Even at 10 weeks of her pregnancy, no one would be able to tell if she were pregnant or not. She wore tight blue jeans and her brown stiletto boots. Cody wore loosely fitted blue jeans and a red long sleeve shirt. Cody stuck his hands in his jeans pocket as he looked at Nick and his little girl walking toward them.
Sabrina smiled at Nick when she saw him walking toward her and Cody. Josslyn was cute as button as the wind blew her hair into Nick’s face while she wore her favorite color pink. She wore a pink and white designed long sleeved shirt and pink pants. Sabrina thought Nick’s hottie bad boy look was still there, yet the fact that he was carrying his daughter made her melt even more inside. He wore blue jeans, and a black long sleeved shirt slightly rolled up his forearms. The silver watch, the silver chain necklace around his neck, and the diamond studded earrings he wore were all like icing on the cake for Sabrina. She thought he looked so sexy.
Nick walked up to Cody holding out his hand for Cody to give him a high five. “What’s up buddy!” Nick smiled.
Cody gave him a faint smile while giving him a high five. “Hey.” Cody said quietly and then stuck his hands back in his jean pocket looking around for his mom.
“Hey Cody, I want you to meet my daughter, Josslyn.” Nick said introducing the kids together.
Josslyn rested her head into the nook of Nick’s neck acting shy.
Cody gave a shy wave and stuck his hand back into his pockets.
“Joss, are you going to say hi?” Nick asked his daughter.
“Hi.” She said quietly and wrapped her arms around Nick’s neck trying to bury her face into his neck.
“Hi, Josslyn.” Sabrina walked up to them and gently rubbed Josslyn’s back in greeting her with comfort.
“I don’t know why she wants to act all shy now when just a minute ago she was running like a wild woman in the house.” Nick chuckled.
Sabrina smiled.
“Hey, beautiful,” Nick said as he placed his hand on the small of Sabrina’s back pulling her a little closer and gave her a light quick peck on the lips.
“Hi.”
As Nick stepped back a little to look at both Cody and Sabrina, Nick said, “Welcome home. C’mon, Cody, let me give you a tour of the house. We’ll come back and get the rest of your bags.” Sabrina gently wrapped her arm around Cody’s slender shoulders as they followed Nick into the house.
Nick showed both Sabrina and Cody around the house. The moment he put Josslyn down allowing her to walk on her own, she would stick to Nick’s leg like white on rice. She was still too shy to even allow Sabrina to try and talk to her.
Cody loved his room and he loved the in ground pool. The comments he would say were, “Cool.” “Awesome.”
Nick carried most of their bags into the house while Cody carried what he could to try to help Nick.
Once everyone was settled, Nick went back into the kitchen to finish cooking dinner. Josslyn stayed in the kitchen with Nick while she played with some of her toys.
Sabrina was in Cody’s new bedroom while he immediately began setting things up the way he wanted to decorate. Sabrina sat on his bed as she took off her boots.
“So?” she asked him.
“It’s cool.” he answered.
“Cool? Just cool?”
Cody nodded his head yes without looking at her.
Sabrina smiled. “Do you think you will like it here?”
“I hope so. So far…yeah.” Cody said nonchalantly.
“You know you can talk to me about anything, right?”
“Yeah.” Cody simply stated.
“Okay..” Sabrina said concerned for her son.
She watched him put up some pictures. They were pictures of the two them, pictures of him and his grandfather, Dean, and pictures of him, Sabrina, Kelly, and Dean together. Sabrina stood up and hugged Cody from behind and kissed his cheek.
“I love you so much.”
“I love you too, mom.”
Sabrina pulled away. “Why don’t you just relax and have fun. You don’t have to fix up your room now.”
“I know.” Cody simply stated.
“Okay…” Sabrina slowly walked out of his room and walked down the stairs toward the master suite room where her and Nick would be sleeping.
The room was huge and Nick had fixed it up nicely. She took a deep breath looking around. She had made it there. Her new life. She hoped it would be all she had ever dreamed of.
She then made all the necessary calls to her aunt Kelly and Raven, telling them that they had made it there safe and sound.
Shortly after speaking to her aunt and Raven, Sabrina walked into the kitchen and saw Josslyn sitting on the floor playing with her baby dolls. Sabrina smiled and crouched down to Josslyn’s level.
“Hi Joss. What are you doing?”
Josslyn didn’t respond right away. She looked up at Nick as if wanting Nick to give her permission to speak. Nick winked at her with a grin.
Josslyn finally responded without looking at Sabrina, “Playing. With my baby doll.”
“Cool. What’s her name?”
“Molly.” Josslyn responded shyly.
“Pretty name.” Sabrina smiled at Josslyn. “Molly is pretty too. I love her clothes.”
Josslyn didn’t respond. She continued playing with her baby doll.
Nick looked at Josslyn saying, “What do you say, Joss?”
Josslyn looked up at Nick and briefly glanced at Sabrina. Playing with her baby doll’s hair, Josslyn finally responded, “Tank you.” She said softly.
Sabrina gently pushed Josslyn’s hair behind her shoulder saying, “You’re so welcome.”
Sabrina then stood up straight and walked over to Nick to see what he was cooking. She wrapped her arms around his torso as she stood behind him. “Smells good. I hope it tastes good.” She teased him.
Nick laughed. “Very funny. It will be ready shortly and you will find out how good it is.”
He then raised his arm up and turned around wrapping his arm around Sabrina. He leaned down and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. Sabrina wanted to feel his lips on hers longer, however she figured he was being very modest since Josslyn was in the room. She quickly pulled away from him.
“Is there anything I can do to help?” Sabrina asked as she leaned against the island kitchen counter.
“Nope.” Nick smiled at her.
Sabrina looked around the kitchen. She felt so helpless. She felt like there really wasn’t anything for her to do. Nick had already fixed up the house making it look cozy. Their bedroom was already cozy. The kitchen and the refrigerator was already stocked up with grocery. She felt like it was truly Nick’s home and not ‘their’ home since she had nothing to do with it.
She was so busy worrying about Cody and if he would be comfortable, when she didn’t think about herself. She didn’t feel like she was home. She felt like she was just there for the weekend. Nick wasn’t really giving her any attention, but she figured it was because of his daughter being there.
Sabrina sighed feeling slightly depressed. She quietly walked out of the kitchen and walked out to the backyard. Tears unexpectedly dropped down her cheeks. She quickly wiped them away as she took a deep breath.
“Mom?” Cody called out to her as he walked outside looking for her.
Sabrina put on a smile as she turned toward her son.
“Nick said dinner is ready.”
“Okay. I’ll be right there.”
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah, hun…I’ll be right there.”
Cody nodded and walked back inside.
Sabrina made sure her eyes were dry and took a few couple of breaths. Once she felt that she had pulled her hormonal emotions back within, she turned around and walked back inside.
Dinner was slightly awkward as Nick and Sabrina sat at the head of the table while Cody and Josslyn sat across from each other. Nick was able to carry on a decent conversation with Cody since Cody was slowly starting to open up.
Josslyn carried on with her shyness. She wasn’t opening up to Sabrina as Sabrina would have hoped.
For some reason, Sabrina found it hard to talk to Nick. Once again she figured he was putting on this persona because of his daughter. She decided to not mention anything about it.
“Thanks for dinner, Nick.” Cody told Nick when he was done eating.
“No problem, buddy. You want some dessert? I have strawberry cheesecake in the fridge.” Nick asked Cody.
Cody looked at Sabrina as if asking if he could.
Sabrina nodded with a smile.
Cody looked at Nick saying, “Okay. Cool. Do I have to eat it here or can I go up to my room and eat it?”
At the same time both Nick and Sabrina responded with different answers. “You can eat it in your room.” Was Nick’s response. “Eat it here.” Was Sabrina’s response.
Nick and Sabrina both looked at each other.
Nick then held his hands out saying to Sabrina, “Or ...wherever you think is best.”
“Can I eat it in my room, mom?” Cody asked for a final answer.
Sabrina gave him a faint smile. “Sure sweetie.”
Cody walked over to the kitchen to get a slice of the strawberry cheesecake.
“I want some!” Josslyn whined.
“No baby, it’s too late for you. You can’t have sugar this late.” Nick responded as he stood up grabbing Josslyn’s plate.
Sabrina noticed Nick was clearing the table. She stood up saying, “I’ll do it.”
“No, don’t worry about it. I got it.”
Sabrina picked up her plate and continued, “No, Nick, let me do it.”
Nick walked up to her grabbing her plate, “Babe…I got it. Go relax.”
Before Sabrina could protest, Josslyn interrupted. “Daddy…I want some cheesetake! No fair!” Josslyn started to whine on the verge of tears.
“I can give her a piece if you want me too.” Cody said quietly to Nick.
“Nah, she’s good. Thanks though.” Nick said as he began putting the dishes away in the dishwasher.
Sabrina attempted to go over to Josslyn and comfort her, however Josslyn moved away from her and started crying walking over toward Nick.
“Dadddyyyyy!”
“Hey…” Nick said stooping down to her level. He began reprimanding her.
Meanwhile Sabrina walked over to Cody and took a look at his cheesecake in his plate.
“Want some?” Cody asked Sabrina trying to over talk the wailing of Josslyn’s cries.
“I’ll get some later. Thanks sweetie.” She kissed the crown of Cody’s head.
Cody shrugged his shoulders and walked away upstairs toward his room.
Sabrina quietly cleared her throat as she leaned against the counter watching Nick with his daughter. He calmed her down and it appeared that she was tired as she began wiping her eyes when he picked her up.
He looked at Sabrina saying, “Im going to go give her a bath.”
“You want me to try –“
“No…I got it.” Nick said interrupting Sabrina as he gently grazed her chin with his fingers and walked away with Josslyn in his arms.
Sabrina took a deep breath and folded her arms. She had never felt so out of place before in her life in a long time. She didn’t like the feeling she was having.
Sabrina decided to spend the rest of her time in Cody’s room while Nick tend to Josslyn. Cody was the only person making her feel welcomed as she took a few bites of his cheesecake. “Mom…you really gotta get your own piece.” Cody would tell her.
Sabrina laughed and hugged Cody.
She watched a little television with Cody and Sabrina suddenly felt tired. “Listen, when you’re done, make sure you take that plate back downstairs okay?”
“Okay.” Cody responded sweetly.
“Im tired and I think Im going to go to bed early, okay?”
“Okay. Can I stay up late?”
Sabrina looked at him as if she were going to say no.
“Please? It’s a Saturday night, c’mon, mom? Pleaaassseee?”
“Okay. But not too late.”
“Yesssss!”
Sabrina smiled. “If you need anything, no matter how late it is, come and let me know, okay?” Cody nodded as he took another bite of his strawberry cheesecake.
Sabrina closed up Cody’s bedroom door halfway, and stopped when she heard Nick singing to Josslyn while she took a bath. Josslyn was singing with him. They were singing Bruno Mars ‘Just The Way You Are’. Sabrina thought they sounded so cute together. Sabrina could hear the melodic tune in Nick’s voice and thought about what his friend Brandon had said when she visited his music studio. Sabrina faintly smile as she listened to their little bonding moment. She sighed and walked away.
Sabrina took out most of her clothes from her luggage and realized she wasn’t sure where Nick wanted her to put her things. She looked in their closet and saw how Nick had left an empty side for her. Clearly it wasn’t enough room for her clothes. Or so Sabrina felt like it wasn’t. She put some of her clothes away in the closet.
She then quickly took a shower. She threw on a white tank top and black short pajama shorts. She slid into the bed and turned to her side attempting to go to sleep.
About twenty five minutes later, Nick walked into their bedroom and closed the door behind him. Nick quickly disrobed and slid into the bed next to Sabrina only wearing his boxers. He snuggled up behind her and began kissing her shoulder up to her neck as his hands began roaming over her body. He slowly glided his hand up her smooth leg up to her thighs. He slid his hand underneath her tank top and cupped her breast.
Sabrina woke up and rolled over on her back to look at Nick. “Nick…” she said in a tired voice.
Nick quickly maneuvered himself on top of her, spreading her legs with his knees to lay comfortably between them.
“I’ve missed you so much.” Nick whispered with lust in his voice. He continued to kiss and nibble on her neck.
Sabrina could feel his growing passion press into her.
Nick moved her hands out to the side as he laced his fingers with her fingers. Sabrina couldn’t deny the fact that what he was doing made her body sexually yearn for him. Nick moved his kisses back over her lips as he gripped her pajama shorts and began pulling them down from around her hips. It wasn’t long before Nick and Sabrina were having sex. Due to her high senses from being pregnant, it was easy for Sabrina to reach her climax. However, Nick didn’t stop until he was able to release his love inside of her.
Nick slowly moved off of her and laid next to her. Sabrina raised her hand up to her forehead removing a few strands that stuck to her forehead from the little perspiration formed.
“So now you pay me attention?” Sabrina said softly looking up at the ceiling as she laid on her back.
“What?” Nick asked confused as he turned his head to look over at her.
“Nothing.” Sabrina said calmly turning on her side allowing her back to face Nick.
“Baby, what’s wrong? What are you talking about?”
“Forget about it, Nick.”
Nick raised up laying on his elbows as he moved Sabrina to make her look at him as she laid on her back.
“Hey…I wasn’t ignoring you today. Im so happy you’re here, I couldn’t contain myself.” Nick said softly as he caressed her face.
“I couldn’t tell.” Sabrina pouted.
“Uhhh, what do you call what we just did?”
“No, Nick, Im not talking about sex—“
“What, did you want me to jump your bones in front of the kids?”
“Nooo. You don’t understand.”
“No, I don’t, so explain it to me.”
“I just don’t feel…welcomed.” Sabrina admitted.
“What?”
“This is your home. Not our home. I had nothing to do with anything here. I didn’t get to say what goes where. The closet space is not even big enough for us. You wouldn’t let me help with dinner or even put the dishes away. And worst of all…Josslyn doesn’t even like me! And Im supposed to be a mother figure for her? How? She won’t even talk to me?” Sabrina started to sob as Nick listened to her with a concerned expression.
“Woah, woah…wait..” Nick said calmly as he sat up pulling Sabrina up into his chest as he consoled her. “Joss does like you. She’s just acting shy right now. Don’t worry about it, she will warm up to you. And second of all, this is your home. You don’t like the decorations, you can change it. I just thought you would like it. I wanted you to come here and not do anything, because I knew you would be tired. I didn’t want you to lift a finger. I just wanted you and Cody to get comfortable, and enjoy the house. OUR house. Okay?”
Sabrina had slowly stopped her crying as she listened to Nick.
“Okay?” Nick asked her again pulling her away so he could wipe her face dry with his hands.
“I just wanted to feel needed.” Sabrina said as her voice trembled slightly.
“Baby, you are needed. I needed you just a while ago.” Nick smirked referring to them just having sex.
Sabrina pushed him away, slightly playing yet somewhat serious. “Shut up!”
Nick chuckled as he pulled her back into him. “No, no, no…im joking! Baby, Im so joking….But you are needed…and wanted, so don’t forget that.” He lifted her chin and tenderly kissed her lips.
Sabrina gently pulled away and smiled. "I have something for you."
"Oh yea? What?" Nick asked curiously.
Sabrina reached over on the night stand and gave Nick a silver wedding band.
"You've been ring free for two weeks. I think it's time I put a ring on it." Sabrina giggled.
Nick chuckled and allowed Sabrina to place the ring around his left ring finger.
"I love you." Nick said softly as he gazed into her eyes.
"I love you too."
Nick held her face and sofly kissed her lips.

Part 3
_It was Sunday afternoon and Nick was preparing Josslyn to go
back home with her mother, Joanna. Cody was in the living room watching
television and Sabrina had walked into the bedroom with Nick and Josslyn.
“Jossy where’s your other shoe?” Nick asked his daughter.
“Downstairs. I go get it.” Josslyn said and ran out the room.
“You never told me what Joanna said about us living out here…?” Sabrina blurted out as she leaned against Josslyn’s dresser.
Nick shook his head and shrugged his shoulders as if saying it wasn’t important.
Sabrina repeated herself. “What did she say?”
“She doesn’t know.” Nick simply responded without looking at her.
Sabrina thought for a moment. “Well, I know she doesn’t think you still live in your old apartment, right?”
“Yeah, she knows I don't live there anymore.”
“Don’t you think she has the right to know where her daughter is living every other weekend when she’s with you? I mean…for emergency reasons?” Sabrina asked slightly confused.
Nick looked up at Sabrina. “No, not really.”
“Nick, you should tell her. If Cody goes with Josh on the weekend, I want to know where he is laying his head at night. How do I know if the neighborhood is safe for him? A mother wants to know those things.”
“Okay, fine. I’ll tell her…geez.”
Sabrina sensed he had an attitude. “You don’t have to have an attitude, Nick…Im just saying –“
“I know. I’ll tell her if you think I should tell her.” Nick interrupted her as he stood up and walked toward her and kissed her cheek. “Alright?” he finished slightly frustrated as he looked at her and then walked out of the room.
Sabrina didn’t say anything else. She decided to let the issue go.

Joanna Apartment
_ Nick and Josslyn hopped in the car and drove to Joanna’s
apartment.
Joanna opened the door and immediately hugged Josslyn. “Hey mommy’s baby!” Joanna shrieked with excitement.
“Hey mommy!!” Josslyn said cutely and kissed her cheek.
Joanna walked away from the door allowing Nick to walk inside. Nick placed Josslyn’s overnight bag down in the living room. Once Josslyn left the room, Joanna turned to Nick and asked, “So…how’s married life treating you?”
“Great. Thanks.”
“She’s here now, right?”
“I can always count on Miley with all the information, right?” Nick said sarcastically. He figured Miley told her every move Nick was making thanks to his best friend, Liam. He looked down at her round belly. “How are you doing?”
“Great.”
“Good.” Nick responded not sure about bringing up the subject he moved to a new house.
Joanna noticed his hesitation. “What?”
Nick looked around for a pen and paper. Once he found something to write with, he quickly jotted down the new address he was now residing.
“Here.” Nick said flatly handing her the address.
“What’s this?”
“That’s where Joss will be every other weekend. With me. That’s my new place.”
“Oh…okay.” Joanna said slightly stunned. “Thanks.”
“I’ll talk to you later.” Nick said and quickly left out the door.
As soon as Nick left, Joanna quickly went to her laptop and pulled up google map on the internet. She typed in the address and Google was able to show her the neighborhood and the house. Joanna’s mouth dropped open in shock. She immediately got angry. She picked up the phone and dialed a number.
“Hello?”
"Miley!” Joanna shouted into the phone.
“What?” Miley answered.
“That bitch has Nick living in a new house! Have you seen it?!”
“No.”
“Go ask Liam how much Nick is making at his job! How can he afford that house?”
“Im not asking Liam about that, Jo, c’mon now.” Miley responded calmly.
“That bitch has to be making all of the money. I fucking hate her! And then my baby is with her every other weekend too!”
“Calm down before you pop that baby in your stomach out.”
“Miley, I never thought I could hate somebody as much as I hate that bitch Sabrina!”
“Well…there’s nothing you can do…you’re both pregnant.”
“Not for long.” Joanna sneered.
“Jo…don’t go doing anything stupid.”
“I just want her to go away. And I will find a way. Even if it does mean that Nick’s heart will be broken. I will make him feel better.” Joanna smiled.

Chapter 9
_ It was Monday morning, the day of firsts. The first day of
Sabrina’s new job at Links Advertisement and Cody’s first day of school.
Sabrina stepped out of the bathroom after taking a shower with a towel wrapped around her body. She got her clothes out and ironed her white linen pants suit she had opted to wear. She got out a thin beige blouse to wear under her linen blazer jacket. She looked over at Nick who was still sleeping in their bed. He didn’t have to work until about 2pm. By the looks of their working schedules they made a plan that Nick would take Cody to school and the working parent assistance program would pick Cody up from school and bring him to Sabrina’s job at the daycare located within the company building. It was apparent that the only time her and Nick would have time together would be in the morning. However, since Nick appeared to be sleeping so well, Sabrina got dressed quietly to not disturb him until it was time for her to leave so he could get up and take Cody to school.
Sabrina blew dry her hair and attempted to put on one of her bras. For some reason, that morning, none of her bras felt comfortable. Was this another pregnancy thing? She thought. She didn’t remember feeling this much discomfort when she was pregnant with Cody. Time was running by, and Sabrina opted to just not wear a bra. She quickly thru on her beige blouse over her head and stepped into her linen pants pulling them over her hips.
“Hey! Whoa!!”
Sabrina jumped, startled from Nick’s voice, and turned to face him as he stared back at her lying in bed. Sabrina raised her hand up to her chest trying to calm her heart beat.
“Geez! You scared me. What are you doing up, I thought you were sleep?”
“I’ve been up. I been watching you get dressed since you started ironing your clothes. Are you not going to wear a bra?” Nick responded.
Sabrina smacked her teeth. “You try getting in a bra when your boobs are swollen and tender, alright?”
Nick smiled. “I think they look great…Im just saying…I don’t want any other guys to notice how great they look.”
“Whatever,” Sabrina mumbled as she continued getting dressed.
Moments later Sabrina was ready to go. She grabbed her keys and her purse. She walked over to Nick lying in bed. She leaned down to give him a peck on the lips.
“Bye.”
Nick kissed her back but held on to her pulling her down on top of him.
“Nick, stop!” Sabrina whined trying to get up from him.
“How about a quickie before you leave?”
Sabrina hit Nick’s chest as she struggled to get up from him. “No, Nick! Geez…let go.”
“Alright, alright.” Nick teased her as he released her. “Have a great first day.” Nick smiled. “Thanks. I’ll see you …well…I guess I’ll see you technically tomorrow, right?”
“Yeah…I should be home sometime by 12:30 or 1am.”
“Okay…bye.” Sabrina then walked out of their bedroom and closed the door behind her.
She quickly ran upstairs and kissed Cody on the forehead. “Have a good first day of school, okay?” Sabrina said as she slowly woke him up.
“Mm-kay. Enjoy your 1st job…I mean your 1st day of job…I mean…” Cody mumbled.
Sabrina giggled at his drowsiness. “I know what you mean. Bye sweetie.” She kissed him again and walked back down stairs and out the door.

Sabrina's Work Place
_ Sabrina made it to her new tall office building near the outskirts of Orlando. The drive there wasn’t as bad as she had thought. She entered into an empty elevator and pressed the 9th floor. Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a gentleman quickly stepped between the doors forcing them to jerk back open. He calmly walked into the elevator and nodded his head at Sabrina.
“Im sorry, I didn’t see you coming.” She smiled at the stranger.
“No problem. Im just having one of those mornings.” He lightly chuckled as he took his shades off to get a better look at Sabrina as he spoke.
Sabrina continued to smile nicely at the man. “What floor?” she asked.
“Oh…” he quickly averted his eyes back to the elevator buttons. “Looks like we’re going to the same floor. Im heading up to the 9th floor as well.” He smiled showing his dimples.
Sabrina nodded and stepped back into the corner of the elevator and watched the digital numbers imply what floor they were passing.
They remained quiet as the floor stopped on the 3rd floor. More people stepped on the elevator forcing the man to squeeze in closer near Sabrina. The elevator stopped again on the 4th floor. More people got on. Sabrina found herself jammed in the corner of the elevator with the man she initially first started to ride the elevator, unintentionally leaning against her.
“Sorry.” He mouthed quietly to Sabrina as he rolled his eyes at the people who all boarded the elevator.
Sabrina giggled and shook her head.
The elevator stopped again on the 6th floor and that appeared to be where everyone on the elevator was going. Everyone exited the elevator except for Sabrina and the first initial man who jumped on the elevator with her. They were alone again as the elevator continued to move up.

Sabrina & The man in elevator with her
_
“I wonder whats on the 6th floor that everyone is
trying to get to?” the man asked with a smile. Sabrina smiled back and replied,
“I don’t know. Im new here.”
The man turned his head to the side slightly surprised. “Really? Me too. Sorry I had to move in on you like that.”
At that moment the elevator doors opened to the 9th floor.
“It’s okay. At least you smell good.” Sabrina teased as she walked off the elevator. “Enjoy your day.” She said as she looked back at him.
“You too.” He smiled as he too exit the elevator.
As Sabrina kept walking she sensed someone was following her. She turned to see the man from the elevator walking closely behind her.
“I know…this seems odd. But I swear Im not following you. Im going in the same direction.”
“Oh.” Sabrina simply stated as she gave him a light smile.
They both stopped once they reached a receptionist desk. Behind the desk was a short petite mousy brown hair woman wearing a flowery dress with a doily pattern like white collar.
Sabrina smiled nicely at the woman. “Hi, Im Sabrina Cain. Im here for orientation.”
“Okay…” the woman said as she scanned for Sabrina’s name.
“I mean…Sabrina Lancaster…My name is Sabrina Lancaster…” Sabrina quickly corrected herself remembering she should now be going by her married name.
The woman gave Sabrina a weird look. “Uhm…do you have your I.D?”
Sabrina nodded as she dug into her purse for her driver’s license.
As Sabrina searched for her i.d., the woman looked at the man who appeared to have been by Sabrina all morning and now standing behind her.
“May I help you sir?”
“Yes…Im Kevin Henderson. I am also here for orientation.” He looked at Sabrina and smiled as he continued, “And yes…my name is really Kevin Henderson.”
Sabrina laughed slightly embarrassed as she pulled out her id and handed it to the woman. “Wonderful,” the woman responded to Kevin. “However, I will still need your id.”
The man named Kevin smiled charmingly as he showed his dimples while handing over his id.
“Very good.” The receptionist added. “Im going to give you both these forms and please have a seat in our waiting area and Taye from Human Resources will be right out.
Both Sabrina and Kevin agreed and took a seat in the open seating area. Kevin sat next to Sabrina still smiling.
“Hi…nice to meet you. Im Kevin.” He extended his hand out to Sabrina.
Sabrina welcomed his hand as she smiled, “Hi. Sabrina.”
“Lancaster, right?” Kevin teased her.
Sabrina laughed admiring his cute dimples. “Yeah…it’s a shame how I can’t remember my name.” Kevin chuckled.
“I just got married.” Sabrina admitted.
Kevin raised his brow giving a surprised expression. “Well…congratulations. That makes sense.” “Thank you.” Sabrina said as she looked down at her forms and began filling it out as she crossed her legs.
Kevin looked down at his forms and began filling it out as well. He then asked, “When was the big day?”
Sabrina tucked a few hair strands behind her right ear and responded, “Two weeks ago.”
“Nice!” Kevin said admiring the ring on her slender finger. “Yeah…that’s a beauty right there.”
He gestured to her ring on her finger.
Sabrina thanked him with a smile and continued to fill out her form.
After a brief pause, he continued, “Well that’s just great. Looks like I was too late. Congratulations again. He’s a lucky guy.”
Sabrina blushed a little. “Thank you.” She smiled at him and continued filling out her form.
The man turned his head to the side slightly surprised. “Really? Me too. Sorry I had to move in on you like that.”

Taye Diggs
_ “Sabrina Lancaster and Kevin Henderson?” a handsome, well
dressed black man with prescription glasses asked as he approached them with a
broad white smile.
Both Sabrina and Kevin stood up acknowledging the man. The man extended his hand out to them in greeting.
“How are you guys doing? Im Taye Diggs, the HR representative. Let’s get you guys started so you can go on to your respective departments.” He said with a smile and started to walk away. He then stopped saying, “Oh, I can take those forms from you guys.”
After the HR representative, Taye Diggs, took them on a tour around the building he showed them the cafeteria on the 6th floor so he could stop and get some coffee.
“Please feel free to help yourselves. I’ll meet you guys right back here in five?”
Both Sabrina and Kevin nodded okay.
Sabrina opted to get some candy and pickle chips along with a bottle of water. Her odd cravings were kicking in that morning as she munched on her chocolate and peanut butter reeses cups and pickle chips. She waited patiently at the door for Taye and Kevin to rejoin her.
Kevin walked up to her with a bottle of sprite and a muffin. “Not a coffee drinker, eh?”
“No, not at all.” Sabrina smiled at him. She then gestured to her snack items, “But Im sure Im not doing any favors for my breath either with this stuff, so please excuse me.”
Kevin chuckled as he gazed at her. “I like a woman who knows what she wants. Beautiful, smart, sexy and don’t care about her breath. That’s hot.” Kevin said charmingly flashing his dimples.
Sabrina giggled feeling slightly uncomfortable as he continued to stare at her. It was obvious he was flirting with her.
Taye walked up to them with a smile and a cup of coffee. He looked at Sabrina’s snacks. “Wow, you remind me of my wife.” He joked. He then carried on talking about the weird things his wife loves to eat as he continued to take them to a small conference room.
In the conference room he allowed them to watch a video about their benefits package and other things needed as they prepared for a career with Links Advertisement company. He left out of the room leaving Sabrina and Kevin to watch the video.
As Sabrina and Kevin sat at the long table in the conference room, sitting next to each other watching the video, Kevin rolled his chair closer to Sabrina and sat up leaning into her.
“Don’t you just hate these videos? I mean they are so 1980, ya know?” he smiled.
Sabrina snickered lightly as she continued to watch the video.
“I’d rather watch anything else but this. Give me a good movie or something, ya know? At least I can imagine im having a movie date with you, right?” Kevin chuckled in a joking manner.
Sabrina turned and looked at him giving him a confused expression. She then finally said, “You know Im married, right?” Sabrina said as she held up her hand flashing her wedding ring.
“Point well taken.” Kevin smiled as he leaned back in his chair.
Sabrina smiled as she shook her head in disbelief. He was persistant. That made her laugh to herself.
When the video was over, Taye entered back into the room saying, “Awesome. So I hope you guys enjoyed that. We will be getting back with you by the end of the day with all of your employment packages. And, now we are waiting on your bosses. Sabrina I do believe your boss is Heather Kudrow, correct?”
“Yes.” Sabrina responded.
“And Kevin, I think your boss is Matt Dillon.”
“Yes, sir.” Kevin replied.
At that moment, Heather walked into the conference room with a bright smile.
Both Sabrina and Kevin stood up acknowledging the man. The man extended his hand out to them in greeting.

Heather Kudrow
_ “Sabrina! Hi! Welcome!”
Sabrina stood up and greeted Heather with a warm handshake. Heather then looked at Kevin.
“Kevin, welcome! Matt wanted me to scoop you up, so come on and join us.” Kevin hopped up from his seat saying, “Sounds great.”
“Thank you Taye.” Heather said as she left the conference room.
As Sabrina and Kevin followed Heather thru the building, she turned to talk to them as she walked. “So, I hope you two got very acquainted with each other. You two will be working together a lot.”
“Oh really?” Kevin said pleasantly.
“Oh…great.” Sabrina smiled at Kevin.
Kevin chuckled.
“Yes…you see, Sabrina is the creative arts director and Kevin is in the Sales department, and you two will have to do a lot of coordinating together.” Heather smiled at the two.
Kevin and Sabrina exchanged glances.
Heather continued as they finally reached the 12th floor. “So, Kevin, I hope you don’t mind that I tag you along for a second before I take you to Matt. I want to go ahead and get Sabrina situated.” “Cool.” Kevin lightly shrugged.
“Great…” Heather responded as she proceeded to introduce Sabrina to a few people in the office.
Heather walked toward one of the larger cubicles in the office and knocked on the tall wall’s metal plate. “Knock, knock.” Heather said interrupting the person who the cubicle belonged to.
Sabrina immediately recognized the woman sitting at the desk.
“Zoe, I want you to meet Sabrina.” Heather said once Zoe turned around.
Zoe genuinely smiled when she saw Sabrina, recognizing her from the dinner banquet two weeks ago. “Oh hi! Yea, I totally remember you!”
Sabrina gave her a warm smile surprised to see her there. She had no idea that Zoe worked there.
“Oh my gosh, so good to see you again. I didn’t know you worked here.” Sabrina greeted her.
Zoe smiled starting to look slightly confused. “Likewise. I had no idea you did either.”
“Yes, she does now. Zoe, Sabrina is our new Creative Arts Director! I didn’t know you two knew each other!?” Heather added.

Zoe
_ Zoe’s smile immediately faded as she stared at Sabrina. She
then glared at Heather. “She’s the new Arts Director?”
Heather nodded yes with a smile.
Sabrina’s smile slowly faded noticing the fact that Zoe didn’t like that news.
Zoe continued with an annoyed look on her face. “But…she’s pregnant. How is that going to work?” she said with an attitude.
Heather looked surprisingly at Sabrina. “Really?”
“Uhhhmmm…yeah.” Sabrina said slowly, not sure how to take everyone’s reaction.
Kevin smiled. “Wow…congrats.”
Sabrina only glanced at Kevin and turned her attention back to Heather and Zoe. She then responded, “Im sorry…is that a problem?”
“Apparently not.” Zoe said with venom in her voice. She quickly grabbed some papers from her desk and pushed her way past them as she exited her cubicle. “Excuse me.” She said harshly.
Sabrina looked confused as Zoe walked away.
“Well…somebody is not a happy camper. Let’s continue shall we?” Heather said with a smile plastered on her face.
Sabrina uncomfortably tucked her hair behind her ear. Kevin only smiled showing his dimples as he followed the women.
Heather escorted them toward Sabrina’s new office. “And this is your office, Sabrina.” Heather opened the door allowing Sabrina to walk in first, followed by Kevin.
“Nice.” Kevin mumbled as he looked around Sabrina’s new office.
She had a nice view of the Orlando city.
“Do you like it?” Heather smiled.
Sabrina gave her a faint smile as she looked around. She couldn’t help but think about Zoe’s reaction. “It’s nice. Thanks.”
“Wonderful. One last thing, Im going to show you where my office is and also you will meet your assistant.” Heather said as she started to walk out of Sabrina’s office.
“Uhm…Heather?”
Heather stopped when she heard Sabrina call out to her.
Sabrina walked up close to Heather trying to speak privately to her. “Is there really a problem with me being pregnant?”
“Well…how far long are you?”
“Ten weeks.” Sabrina answered.
“Well…we will just cross that road when we get there…like when you get ready to pop.” Heather said as she turned around to walk out of the office. She then added, “You will probably be working from home…a lot….Right this way people.” Heather continued as she walked on.
Sabrina glanced at Kevin. Kevin shrugged his shoulders and kept quiet. He gestured for Sabrina to walk out first. Sabrina sighed and walked out of her office and followed Heather.
Heather walked down the aisle toward the other end of the large office floor to show Sabrina where her office was located. She then circled back around to show Sabrina where her assistant would be sitting. They walked to someone’s desk full of files, yet no one was sitting there.
“Hmmm…I wonder where she is?” Heather said looking around for Sabrina’s assistant.
Sabrina looked around and then she saw another familiar face. It was the same red hair girl who wore the pink dress at Nick’s job dinner banquet. It was the same girl who had constantly glared at her the whole night there.
“Oh, there she is. Sabrina, here comes your new assistant now…Ariana.” Heather informed her.
The red haired girl named Ariana approached them with a sweet smile. Heather proceeded to introduce Sabrina to Ariana.
“Oh, what a pleasure and very nice to meet you. I look forward to working with you.” Ariana said extending her hand in greeting.
Sabrina gave her a faint smile and welcomed her hand in greeting. “Likewise.” Sabrina simply stated.
“Ariana, this is Kevin. He works in the Sales department…get to know his face, I think we will be hearing a lot from him as we prepare for this new project.” Heather added.
Ariana smiled flirtatiously as she greeted Kevin. Kevin smiled his charmingly cute smile.
“Wonderful…well, I need to show Kevin to his boss and his department. Ariana can you please make sure that Sabrina gets acquainted with our office software, and I will be right back.” Heather said with a smile as she grabbed Kevin’s arm.
Sabrina looked back at Ariana giving her a faint smile.
Ariana smiled saying, “Well, let’s go get you signed in to your computer.”
Sabrina agreed and walked into her office. Ariana showed her where she could lock up her personal belongings and the different compartments to her desk and shelves. Sabrina then sat behind her desk in front of her computer while Ariana sat beside her showing her how to sign on to her computer in their system.
Heather nodded yes with a smile.

Ariana
_ “Okay, and on this screen…you just type your full name. Last
name first, and then your first name second.” Ariana instructed.
Sabrina typed what she was supposed to with Ariana’s direction. When Ariana saw Sabrina type the name ‘Lancaster’, she cleared her throat. Sabrina hit enter and then looked at Ariana wondering if she was about to say anything in reference to her name. Ariana only smiled at Sabrina. She then brought Sabrina’s attention back to the computer screen. She continued to inform Sabrina on all of their software.
When Ariana covered everything she was able to tell her, she added, “And that is it! You are well on your way.”
Sabrina smiled saying, “Thank you, Ariana.”
“You are so welcome!” Ariana stood up to prepare to move the chair she was sitting in to replace it on the other side of Sabrina’s desk. She added, “Im sure your email will be filled with some information pertaining to this special project coming up.”
“Right.” Sabrina stated looking at her computer.
“Okay, and if you need anything, you know where to find me.” Ariana said with a smile as she stared at Sabrina.
“Thanks again.” Sabrina replied with a smile as she kept her eyes on her computer screen.
Ariana stood there staring at Sabrina for a moment. She then cleared her throat and said, “Uhm… I’ve been meaning to ask you something.”
Sabrina raised her eyes up to Ariana waiting for her to continue.
“Your last name…Lancaster…would that name be as in Nick Lancaster?”
“Yes. He’s my husband.”
“Oh…I didn’t know he got married. Interesting.”
Sabrina nodded with an uncertain expression.
Ariana smiled. She then asked, “So…how long you guys been married?”
“Two weeks.”
“Wow. Wasn’t it just two weeks ago when you guys were at the Dinner Banquet?”
Sabrina thought for a moment wondering why she was acting as if she didn’t remember seeing her at the banquet. She licked her lips feeling her mouth become very dry.
“Uhm…so…how do you know Nick?” Sabrina asked thinking she would put Ariana on the spot.
Before Ariana had a chance to respond, Heather knocked on Sabrina’s open office door. “Knock, knock!” Heather said with a smile. “How’s it going in here?”
Ariana smiled as she turned around to face Heather. “Hey! Everything is going great! Do you guys need me for anything else? I was going to go ahead and take my lunch.”
“No, I think we got it from here. We will be in meetings for the rest of the day.” Heather said to Ariana. She then turned her attention to Sabrina saying, “We have to get you to meet Richard, and talk about this big project coming up.”
“Sounds good.” Sabrina said to Heather with a smile.
At that, Ariana walked out of Sabrina’s office.
“Time does fly by, I can’t believe it’s already lunch time. I am supposed to meet my mother for lunch, but I will be back around 1pm. Are you going to be okay until then?” Heather asked.
“Sure.” Sabrina responded with a smile.
“Great. I have these forms you might want to look over before we meet with Richard. So, spend your lunch wisely. See you at 1 sharp.” Heather added before leaving out of her office.
Sabrina sighed as she walked back around her desk and sat in her seat. She looked at the time on her computer screen. It read 12:07. She wanted to call Nick, but she knew he would be knocked out sleep before having to go to work since he worked the night shift. She decided she would call him in about another 15 min. She figured he should at least be up by then.
Sabrina heard her stomach growl. Within the next instant, she heard someone knock on her open office door. Sabrina looked up to see Kevin. He was smiling that charming smile once again.
“Hi. Lunch?”
Sabrina gave him an annoyed look as if she didn’t want to be bothered with him.
“Don’t worry..” he said as he calmly walked into her office. “…I promise not to flirt, and try any of my lame pick up lines. I should be ashamed of myself for flirting with a beautiful, married, pregnant, and sexy woman…”
Sabrina smacked her teeth and rolled her eyes thinking how he was still flirting with her.
“…like the woman who just walked down the hall. Whew! Did you see her?” Kevin finished in a joking manner as if he were speaking of someone else.
Sabrina couldn’t help but laugh at him.
Kevin chuckled with delight that he was able to make her laugh. He then clapped his hands saying, “Okay, so, let’s get something to eat.”
“I don’t know…” Sabrina hesitated.
“Oh come on. I don’t know anyone else here…and I don’t like to eat alone. Besides…you seem like a half decent person…I don’t think you would steal my food. Well…wait..you did say you were pregnant, right? Damn…that means you’re eating for two..so you just might steal my food.” Kevin teased as if in deep thoughts.
Sabrina giggled at his nonsense.
“Ahh, what the hell, I’ll take my chances. Let’s eat.” he finished with a smile.
Sabrina smiled at him and sighed. “Alright…you twisted my arm hard enough.”
“Awesome!” Kevin smiled.
Sabrina and Kevin had lunch together on the 6th floor cafeteria. Sabrina actually enjoyed his company. He kept her laughing and the conversation flowing. She learned that he was a 26 yr old single man, never been married, doesn't have any kids, and lives in Orlando. Time slipped by them when Sabrina realized that she was running a little late to get back to work and meet with Heather for their 1pm meeting. Kevin walked back to their floor with her.
They were laughing and talking as they stepped off the elevator and as they continued to walk to Sabrina’s office. As they passed Ariana’s desk, Ariana looked up at the two clearly enjoying each other’s company. When Sabrina looked her way, Ariana quickly looked away and pretended she were working.
Sabrina tucked her hair behind her ear and brought her attention back to Kevin. “Thanks for lunch. You didn’t have to pay for it, you know?”
“Yeah I know. But it was the least I could do to make your day better.”
Sabrina smiled and touched his arm as she thanked him. She then stated,“You’ll have to show me your office.”
“Of course. That way you can come pick me up for lunch tomorrow.” Kevin joked.
Sabrina laughed, “I should go. Talk to you later.”
Kevin nodded and walked away.
Sabrina walked into her office and looked at the time. It read: 12:58. She quickly grabbed her notepad and pen and started to walk out. She stopped suddenly when her cell phone caught her eye as it laid on top of her desk. Sabrina said a curse realizing she forgot to call Nick. She quickly grabbed her phone and saw she had a missed call and a text message. Both were from Nick. The text message read:
|| Hey baby hope ur day is going well. Off 2 work n a few. Luv u! ||
As Sabrina walked out of her office she attempted to text Nick back when she bumped into Heather. “Oh, Heather, Im so sorry. I was just coming to your office.”
“And I was just coming to you. Let’s go.” Heather said with a smile.
Sabrina found herself in Richard Gere’s office, the CEO of Links Advertising company. He was a nice looking older man. Sabrina thought about Raven. She didn’t think Richard would pass the ‘handsome’ test from Raven. Unlike Sabrina’s old boss, Sean Connery, Richard didn’t have that senior citizen effect. That would mean Sean Connery was a better looking poised man…to Raven. Sabrina smiled at thought.

Richard Gere
_ After hours of creative thinking and speaking about a
special project they were going to work on, Richard placed his pen down on his
desk and sat back in his chair staring at Sabrina with a smile on his face. He
then finally said, “You’re good. What was Sean Connery thinking when he
just let you slip from his hands?”
Sabrina smiled and blushed. “Thank you, sir. I try.” She responded avoiding his eye contact.
Heather cleared her throat and adjusted herself in her seat. “Well. That’s it for today, right, Richard?”
“I would say so. Good job today ladies. Sabrina, what do you think? You like it here?” Richard asked somewhat ignoring Heather.
“It’s nice here. I think this project is going to be fun. I look forward to working on it.”
“That’s what I like to hear.” Richard smiled. He continued, “I will see you all tomorrow bright and early.”
That was the obvious cue for the women to leave his office.
“Job well done. See you tomorrow.” Heather said flatly.
“Thanks.” Sabrina said just as Heather walked away. “Oh Heather!” Sabrina called to her forcing Heather to stop. Sabrina continued once Heather turned around. “The working parent program…where do I pick up my son?”
“Ground floor. You’ll see a big sign that says Links Care.” Heather said with annoyance and quickly turned to walk away.
Sabrina rolled her eyes when she realized Heather had an attitude. Sabrina wondered if she was upset that Richard liked all her ideas more than Heather’s.
Sabrina got her things together, and prepared to leave her office. She walked past Ariana’s desk which she was nowhere to be found.
Minutes later Sabrina found herself on the ground floor of the building and walked toward Links Care. That’s where she saw her son Cody. Once she signed him out, they gave each other a big hug.
“How was school?” Sabrina asked him, nervous to hear what his response was going to be.
“It was awesome!” Cody cheered slinging his back pack over his back.
Sabrina smiled with excitement and hugged him tight. “Thank God! I was so nervous for you.” “Mom…it was cool…” his voice trailed off.
As they walked to Sabrina’s car and headed back to their new home, Cody told her everything that happened at school. Sabrina was relieved that he likes his new school.
Sabrina smiled and blushed. “Thank you, sir. I try.” She responded avoiding his eye contact.
Heather cleared her throat and adjusted herself in her seat. “Well. That’s it for today, right, Richard?”

_
Later that evening, with just Sabrina and Cody in the new
house, she made dinner and put away the left overs for Nick when he came home.
She called Nick but he never answered. She text Nick, but he never text back.
She figured he must have been really busy at work.
Sabrina and Cody ended up making a phone call to her aunt Kelly by putting her on speaker phone. Cody took up most of the conversation by telling Kelly how his school day was. Their next call went to Raven. Of course she allowed Cody to speak to Raven’s nephew Jermaine first. Sabrina was just happy to see Cody happy.
After making sure Cody was okay and settled in bed, Sabrina found the large house a bit eerie. She made sure all the doors were locked. She turned off the lights, except one of the dim lights in the kitchen. It was a little after 10pm and Sabrina had just took a shower and put on her night shirt. She climbed into their large empty bed pulling the covers over her body up to her chin. She looked up at the bedroom ceiling in deep thoughts and sighed. Was this how it was going to be everyday…every night while Nick was working? It was almost like she was still single. Except she was in a really large house and Cody was further away, upstairs and down the hall.
And then…there was her job. The only nice person there was Kevin from the sales department. Sabrina started to get emotional. Was her pregnancy hormones getting the best of her? Sabrina couldn’t understand why she wasn’t happy. Why was she crying? Sabrina started to have a huge headache. She got out of bed and walked into the bathroom looking for something to take as she wiped her tears away. Before she had a chance to look in the medicine cabinet, she heard her cell phone buzz indicating she had a text message. She quickly rushed toward her phone sitting on the night stand beside the bed. Sabrina looked at the time. It read 10:30pm. The text message was from Nick.
Nick: || Sleep? ||
Sabrina: || No. Can you call me? ||
Nick: || Can’t. Im srry. Y arnt u sleep? Cody ok? ||
Sabrina: || All is fine. I miss u. When will u b home? ||
Nick: || Soon baby. Got to go. Love u ||
Sabrina: || Love u 2 ||
Sabrina took a deep breath feeling depressed. She placed her cell phone back on the night stand and laid back down in her bed, turning over to her side. After shedding a few more tears, she finally fell asleep.
-------------------------
It wasn’t until a little after 2am when Nick finally came home. He made his way into the kitchen and picked over the left over food Sabrina had neatly packed away in the refrigerator. Once he satisfied his food craving, he quietly made his way into their bedroom and saw Sabrina sound asleep. He crept his way into the bathroom and took a shower. After his shower, he threw on his black boxers and silently made his way over to the bed where Sabrina looked so peaceful as she slept.
He crawled into the bed and quickly snuggled up to her wrapping his arm around her. Sabrina shot her eyes open feeling someone in the bed with her. When she realized it was Nick, she calmed her nerves. She felt his hand slide down her smooth legs and up to her thigh as he softly caressed her. Sabrina turn over on her back and looked up at Nick as he hovered over her.
“Hey…what time is it?” Sabrina asked in a groggy voice.
Nick leaned down and kissed her lips as his hand now eased its way up underneath her night shirt. “Almost three in the morning.” Nick whispered into her neck.
He raised his hand up to her bare breast and gave it a squeeze and pinching her nipple.
“Ouch, Nick…” Sabrina said calmly pulling his hand away.
“What?” Nick asked in a low tone as he nibbled on her neck.
“Not so hard…Im just feeling really tender.”
“Sorry.” Nick smiled as he brought his lips back to her lips, softly kissing her.
Sabrina slowly began kissing him back as she began to fully wake up. He brought his hands back down to her hips tugging at her underwear. Sabrina wasn’t sure what he was doing to her to make her suddenly yearn for his touch. She raised her hips so Nick could easily slide her underwear off. Nick slid his hands up her thighs, gripping them as he spread them apart. Nick lowered himself down below between her legs as he raised her nigh shirt up to her bust line.
Sabrina couldn’t believe how quickly she found herself in this position as he pleasured her with his tongue.
After getting Sabrina to reach her climax, Nick raised up and easily guided his manhood inside of her and began thrusting into her. He didn’t stop until he was able to release his sexual tension inside of her giving Sabrina another orgasm.
Nick tiredly kissed Sabrina’s neck and rolled off of her laying on his back next to her. Sabrina slowly pulled her night shirt down over her body and snuggled up to Nick wrapping her arm around his torso. Nick wrapped his arms around her pulling her closer as he kept his eyes closed wanting to sleep.
“Don’t you want to know how my 1st day of work went?” Sabrina asked quietly.
“How was your day?” Nick asked in a tired voice.
Sabrina thought he sounded like he was about to doze off. “Don’t ask if you don’t care, Nick.” Sabrina stated with her eyes open looking off into the distance as her head rested on his bare muscular chest.
There was a long pause of silence before Nick finally said, “I do care, baby.”
It was obvious he was still tired as he kept his eyes closed.
Sabrina raised her head up to look at him and thought he looked like he had already fallen asleep. Sabrina smacked her teeth and rolled her eyes as she pushed off away from him and turned on her side allowing her back to face him.
Nick felt her move away and slowly snuggled up behind her and wrapped his arm around her as he rested his head near her head. He gave her a light squeeze taking a deep breath.
“Did you enjoy your day, Bri-bear?” he asked softly still with his eyes closed.
“Nick…” Sabrina called out to him to make sure he was still awake.
“Mm-hmm…” he answered.
“How do you know Ariana?”
“Huh?” Nick replied quickly sounding a little more alert.
“Remember that red haired girl at your dinner banquet a few weeks ago? And I told you how she was staring at me the whole night…how do you know her?”
“Why?” Nick asked confused with his eyes opened.
“Does it matter? I just asked you a question.”
“She…we…she used to date a guy I know.” Nick hesitated.
Sabrina frowned. Silence fell between the two as Nick closed his eyes once again.
“That’s it?”
There was a long silence.
“Nick?” Sabrina said a little loud to wake Nick.
“Yeah?” Nick responded in a sleepy voice.
“Is that it?”
“Is what it?”
Sabrina frowned once again and lightly elbowed him in the ribs.
“What – Brin…? What’s wrong?”
“Just forget it, Nick.”
“We’ll talk in the morning, okay?” Nick said pulling her into him as he spooned her.
Sabrina didn’t respond. She frowned and tried to go back to sleep. Besides, in a few hours she would have to be up anyway.
Nick: || Sleep? ||
Sabrina: || No. Can you call me? ||
Nick: || Can’t. Im srry. Y arnt u sleep? Cody ok? ||
Sabrina: || All is fine. I miss u. When will u b home? ||
Nick: || Soon baby. Got to go. Love u ||
Sabrina: || Love u 2 ||

Chapter 10
_ The next morning, Sabrina’s alarm went off at 6:10am. She
woke up with a huge headache as she turned the alarm off. She looked over at
Nick who was knocked out sleep as he laid on his stomach with his head turned the
other way. She could hear his monotone heavy breathing meaning he was in a deep
sleep. Sabrina sat up and flipped her hair over to the side. She slowly walked
to the bathroom and took a shower.
As she got dressed Nick still didn’t move an inch in the bed. It was a little after 7am and Sabrina was fully dressed and ready to go to work. She thought about Ariana and before facing her again, she wanted to know the real deal between the two since she felt he wasn’t really telling the truth last night. Sabrina sat down on the bed next to Nick and leaned down lightly pressing her glossy lips against his ear.
“Nick, wake up.” She said in a regular voice as she nudged his shoulder.
“Hmm?” Nick grunted as he jumped a little startled by her voice in his ear.
Sabrina sat up and nudged him again trying to fully wake him. “Wake up.” She demanded once again.
Nick groaned as he stretched and adjusted himself to lay on his back. He ran his hand down his face trying to wake up. “Is it time for me to take Cody to school?” he asked in his scratchy early morning voice.
“No…not yet. We need to talk.”
Nick rubbed his eyes and looked at Sabrina hearing her serious tone. He furrowed his brows and asked, “What’s wrong? You feel okay?”
“Besides having a headache that won’t go away…Im fine.”
Nick relaxed his facial expression and adjusted himself to lay comfortably on his side as he gripped the pillow under his head giving himself a slight elevation. He closed his eyes wanting to go back to sleep.
“Can we talk?” Sabrina asked looking down at him.
“Sure baby.” Nick said between his sigh.
“Tell me about Ariana.”
There was a long pause.
Sabrina shoved his shoulder trying to wake him. “Nick, listen to me.”
“What…Brin…Im listening.”
“Nick…you’re starting to piss me off.”
Nick slowly opened his eyes and looked at Sabrina. “How? Im not doing anything.”
“Exactly. Im trying to talk to you.”
“Babe…it’s early…Im tired…excuse me if I don’t really feel like talking right now.” Nick said with a slight attitude.
“You said we could talk this morning.” Sabrina protested as she frowned at him.
Nick sighed and remained silent as he closed his eyes once again.
“When will we ever get a chance to talk, Nick? You come home late, and all you want to do is have sex and go to sleep." Sabrina complained.
“I’ll call you during your lunch…can we talk then?”
Sabrina slapped his shoulder in anger. “No!”
She hopped up and started to walk away when Nick quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her back down on the bed.
“Stop. Let go.”
“Okay, okay. Talk to me. What’s wrong.” Nick said still holding her arm.
He sat up rubbing his forehead trying to knock his sleepiness away.
“Im serious, Nick.” Sabrina said snatching her arm away from him as she stared at him.
“Im up, Brin…Im up. What do you want to know?”
“Ariana. How do you know her?”
“She used to date this guy I knew back in college. Why?”
“She’s my assistant at work.”
“Oh…kay…so?”
“She just made it seem like she knew you more than what you’re saying.”
“What did she say?” Nick asked slightly annoyed.
“Just…that…she didn’t think you would have gotten married.” Sabrina slightly pouted.
Nick stared at her in disbelief. “So? Who doesn’t think that? You’re making a mountain out of a mole hill, Brin. Listen…just chill out. Have a good day at work, and I will see you tonight. Okay?”
Nick pulled her arm pulling her into him so he could kiss her. Sabrina leaned into him and turned her head just in time for him to kiss her cheek.
“You’re mad at me?” Nick asked with concern.
Sabrina just looked down at her hands. “I just have a headache.” Sabrina finally responded. “Shouldn’t you take something?” Nick spoke calmly lacing his fingers with her fingers as he held her hand.
“No…I’ll be fine. I gotta go.”
“Wait, can I have a kiss first?”
Sabrina looked at Nick as he pleaded with his eyes. Sabrina simply leaned forward and pecked his lips and immediately pulled away.
“Whoa…that’s it?” Nick asked with a smirk.
Sabrina couldn’t help but smile at him.
“Come here.” Nick said as he pulled her back to him.
This time they gave each other a long sensual kiss.
“Better?” Sabrina asked with a smirk.
“Very much so.” Nick grinned.
“Im gonna go wake up Cody and then Im gone.” Sabrina said rising to her feet.
“I’ll call you during your lunch. I love you.” Nick said as he laid back down under the covers.
“Love you too.”
----------------------
Sabrina’s second day of work was really no more different than how her first day went. She saw Zoe and once again, Zoe gave her the cold shoulder. She rolled her eyes at Sabrina along with smacking her teeth and walked right past her without speaking.
Ariana appeared to be helpful to a certain extent, however, Sabrina wasn’t sure if it was all in her head due to the fact of how Sabrina will never forget how she glared at her during Nick’s dinner banquet. For some reason, Sabrina felt her smiles were always fake.
Sabrina’s boss, Heather suddenly turned smug. She was no longer the happy and cheerful one who was so willing to help Sabrina. Sabrina hoped that it was due to her having a stressful day.
The more Sabrina worked about within her department floor, she noticed more faces she had seen at the dinner banquet. It was as if Links Advertisement had some kind of connection with Nick’s job. Sabrina didn’t understand it, but she knew there had to have been some kind of connection and wondered if the fact that Nick had got that promotion made it even easier for her to get the job she had now. The only friend she seem to have was Kevin Henderson.

The only friend she seem to have was Kevin Henderson.
Kevin Henderson
_ “Hey, Lancaster. You. Me. Lunch. Noon?” Kevin would say as
he poked his head inside her office.
Sabrina smiled and agreed.
He would then flash his charming, dimple smile and walk away.
This was routine for Sabrina thru out the next couple of weeks of her job. She had lunch everyday with Kevin, and sometimes take breaks with him. He always found a way to make her laugh and she appreciated that. She vowed that one day she would try to talk to Zoe to understand why she hated her so much. However whenever Sabrina would tell herself, today is the day, more work would be dropped on her desk by Heather. Sabrina started to feel that Heather was being vindictive and trying to see how much work she could pile onto Sabrina.
If Nick didn’t want her to stress, it was too late, because Sabrina found a lot of stress at her job. So much stress that she started to bring her work and stress home.
Thanks to the working parent program, they picked Cody up from school and would bring him back to Sabrina’s job at the Links Care center. There were times when Sabrina wouldn’t get off from work until 6 or 7pm. Cody would appear tired or frustrated for being there so long, but he knew his mom had to work. Yet by him being there so long, he made a lot of friends.
When Sabrina would go home, it was routine for her to cook dinner, help Cody with his homework, and sometimes finish doing a little work from her job.
Nick was always constantly working and found it hard for him to speak to Sabrina thru out the day. Sabrina always felt like she was living a single life. Until Nick would come home late at night and try to have sex with her. Nick was successful for that first week of them living together. He would routinely slide into the bed with her, have sex, and go to sleep. The next morning they would speak briefly and Sabrina would be off to work. However toward the weekend, Sabrina was too tired and started turning Nick down. Since that first night of staying together, they had sex every night…until that Thursday night.
Sabrina was so tired that night. She had took a long bubble bath once Cody was sound asleep upstairs. Sabrina even fell asleep while taking her bath. She had dreamt that she was falling which jolted her out of her sleep making the water ripple violently from her sudden movement in the tub. Sabrina said a curse and quickly got out of the tub. She put on a thin white tank top and pink underwear. She thought she was having a hot flash, because she was so hot. She turned on their bedroom ceiling fan and pulled the covers down the bed. She slid under the sheets and as soon as her head hit the pillow, Sabrina was knocked out sleep.
Sabrina smiled and agreed.

_ Around three in the morning, as usual, Nick slid under the
sheets next to Sabrina. Sabrina was lying on her back and Nick immediately made
his way on top of her spreading her legs so he could fit perfectly between
them. He engulfed the skin of her neck into his mouth while caressing her
thighs pulling it up around his torso.
Sabrina woke up and began to push him away. “Nick…stop.”
Nick grabbed her hands and held them above her head as he continued to kiss and nibble on her neck trying to make her yearn for him while nibbling on her sweet spot behind her ear.
Sabrina bit her lower lip feeling a sexual tingly feeling throb down her body as Nick pressed his hardness between her legs. A soft moan escaped her lips. As Nick removed one hand from her wrist to lower it down her body and attempt to pull her underwear off, Sabrina quickly lowered her free hand to push Nick’s hand away. “Baby…stop.” Sabrina said a little more firmly.
Nick swiped her hand away and continued to move his hand down inside her underwear. “What’s wrong?” Nick asked lustfully in a low tone.
“Nick, stop.” She said removing his hand.
Nick continued as he began to move the crotch of her underwear to the side so he could slide his manhood inside of her.
“Nick, STOP!” Sabrina said loudly in anger.
Nick stopped and looked at her noticing how serious she was.
“Get off of me!” Sabrina stared into his eyes.
“What’s wrong?”
Sabrina tried to push him off of her.
Nick allowed her to push him off as he looked at her with a confused expression.
Sabrina sat up in bed as she adjusted her tank top and tucked her hair behind both of her ears.
“What’s wrong? Did you have a bad day?” Nick asked her once again.
“No. Im just tired, Nick.” Sabrina said without making eye contact with him.
Nick smirked and sat up next to her attempting to pull her into him as he kissed her jaw line. “You know you don’t have to do anything…you can just lay there while I take care of you.”
Sabrina moved her face away from him as she lightly pushed him away. “Nick, seriously, cut it out.” Nick stopped and looked at her. “Seriously?”
“Yes, Nick! Aren’t you tired of just coming home and having sex?”
Nick looked at her wondering if that was a trick question. “Uhmmm…..no…?”
“Nick…” Sabrina said as she pushed him once again. She then continued, “We never talk. We never talk during the day and when you do come home…its just sex and then you roll over and go to sleep. Im tired of that. I feel like im just put here to have sex with you or something. Im pregnant…Im tired…Im just stressed out and you don’t care.” Sabrina said as her voice quivered.
Nick wasn’t sure how to respond as he stared at her with concern. “Well…I don’t want you to feel like you are ‘put here to have sex with me’, Brin. If you don’t want to have sex….we…don’t have to.” Nick said slightly disappointed.
Sabrina frowned at him and slid back down into the bed pulling the sheets over her saying, “Nevermind…you don’t get it.”
Nick sighed and lowered himself into the bed wrapping his arms around Sabrina as he spooned her.
Sabrina could feel his hardness poke into her back. “Nick…” Sabrina said annoyed by his gesture.
Nick slightly moved back. “Im sorry…It wont just go away like magic, Brin.” Nick kissed her earlobe.
Sabrina rolled her eyes.
“You want to talk? Let’s talk.” Nick said softly in her ear.
“Are you working this weekend?” Sabrina asked still slightly upset with him.
“Yes.”
“When are you off again?”
“Not until Monday and Tuesday.” Nick responded with his eyes closed. He continued, “So, just a few more days of all of our 'non talking' and then Im off of work. And that following weekend Im off.” “And Joss will be here too, right?”
“Yep.” Nick responded. “That’s always going to be my schedule.” Nick said slowly rubbing Sabrina’s arm.
“Then…maybe we should put sex on a schedule.”
Nick frowned and opened his eyes. He looked down at Sabrina. “What? What kind of schedule?” “Sex only on your off days. It’ll give us time to bond, and not make our relationship just based on sex. Because that’s how I feel about this relationship.”
“You think our relationship is just based on sex?”
“Yeah…I do.” Sabrina said as she slightly pouted.
Nick remained silent for a moment. “Well…that’s not true.” He finally responded.
“So…let’s prove it.” Sabrina said as she slightly turned around to look up at him.
“So….I have to wait until Monday and Tuesday to make love to my wife?”
Sabrina nodded yes.
“But that means it will be like another week before we can have sex!” Nick said slightly stunned. Sabrina frowned. “See! I told you…all I am is a sex toy for you.” Sabrina pushed Nick away. “Whoa, whoa, whoa.” Nick said calmly wrapping his arms back around her. “Okay…you are not my sex toy. I love you. If you want to put sex on a schedule…fine. To prove that you’re wrong…fine, we’ll do it.”
Sabrina smirked. “Thank you.”
“Can we have sex now and just start fresh tomorrow?” Nick begged.
Sabrina laughed and pushed him away. “No!”
From that moment on, Nick went along with the 'scheduled sex'. However when Nick was off on that Monday and Tuesday as weeks past, Sabrina would still turn him down. The weekends that Josslyn was there, they didn’t have sex because Josslyn wanted to sleep with them or because Sabrina turned him down. After a while, Nick kind of just gave up in trying or sometimes asking. If Sabrina wanted sex, he figured he would allow her to make the first move.
TO BE CONTINUED ...
